Getting Started

After logging in, you are taken to the Dashboard, where you can see a summary of your inventory and quick actions.

Navigation

  • Dashboard — Overview of buildings, rooms, items, and recent activity.
  • Items — Browse, search, filter, and manage inventory items.
  • Rooms — View and manage rooms within buildings.
  • Scan — Use your camera to scan QR codes on items.

Managing Inventory

Adding Items

Go to Dashboard → Register Item or the Items page and click the add button. Fill in description, room, item type, condition, and optional fields like serial number and purchase price.

QR Codes

Each item gets a unique QR code. Print labels from the item detail page. Scan codes with the Scan page or any QR reader — the code links directly to the item.

Buildings & Rooms

Create buildings first, then add rooms within them. Items are assigned to rooms.

Roles

  • User — Register items, scan QR codes, view inventory.
  • Manager — All user actions plus manage item types, rooms, run reports, and export data.
  • Admin — Full access including user management and site administration.

Data Export & Import

Export inventory as CSV from the Items page. Import items via CSV using the provided template. The system validates each row and reports errors without discarding valid entries.
